These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of JurisIQ's website, platform, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you (or the entity you represent) and JurisIQ. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Services.

2. Eligibility and Account Use

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for maintaining account credentials and account activity.
  • You must notify us promptly of unauthorized account use or security incidents.

3. About the Services

JurisIQ provides a legal memory layer and case-native intelligence platform designed for Indian litigation workflows. The Services may include research workflows, precedent analysis, drafting support, knowledge memory, API capabilities, and enterprise workspace features.

We may improve, modify, or discontinue features from time to time in line with product and security requirements.

4. No Legal Advice and Professional Responsibility

JurisIQ is a technology platform and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client services. Outputs are generated for professional assistance and should be reviewed by qualified legal professionals before reliance in legal proceedings or client matters.

  • You remain solely responsible for legal strategy, professional judgment, and filings.
  • You must independently verify facts, citations, procedural compliance, and legal positions.

5. User Representations

By using the Services, you represent that:

  • Your use complies with applicable laws, regulations, and professional obligations.
  • You have all rights and permissions needed to submit content to the Services.
  • You will not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
  • You will not misrepresent identity, authority, or affiliation.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or models.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access Services without authorization.
  • Bypass security controls, access restrictions, or usage limits.
  • Upload malicious code, malware, or harmful payloads.
  • Use the Services to violate confidentiality, privacy, or intellectual property rights.
  • Use the Services to generate, distribute, or facilitate unlawful content or conduct.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized third-party access to the Services.

7. License and Access Rights

Subject to these Terms, JurisIQ grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for internal lawful business or professional purposes.

No ownership rights are transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by JurisIQ and its licensors.

8. Fees, Billing, and Payment

  • Paid plans, if applicable, are billed according to your order form or subscription terms.
  • You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorized payment methods.
  • Fees are non-refundable unless expressly stated in writing.
  • Taxes, duties, or governmental charges are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The Services, including software, interfaces, workflows, text, graphics, designs, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to JurisIQ and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as permitted under these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, create derivative works, or commercially exploit any part of the Services without prior written permission.

10. Customer Data and Confidentiality

As between you and JurisIQ, you retain rights in your Customer Data. You grant JurisIQ the rights necessary to host, process, secure, and provide the Services in accordance with these Terms and applicable contracts.

  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for Customer Data.
  • Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of non-public business information.
  • Data handling details may be governed by applicable enterprise agreements or DPAs.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may integrate with third-party services or link to third-party sites. Such third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. JurisIQ is not responsible for third-party products, services, or content.

12. Privacy and Cookie Policy

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which describe how we collect, use, and protect personal data and usage information.

13. Term, Suspension, and Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or security requirements.

On termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately, and applicable data deletion or return terms under customer agreements will apply.

14. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law. JurisIQ disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JurisIQ and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data.

JurisIQ's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms will not exceed the fees paid by you to JurisIQ for the Services in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JurisIQ, its affiliates, and their personnel from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before initiating formal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution by written notice.

If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Seat and venue of arbitration: Kolkata, India. Proceedings shall be in English. Subject to arbitration requirements, courts at Kolkata, India shall have jurisdiction.

18. Changes to Services or Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

19. Miscellaneous

  • These Terms and related policies form the complete agreement between you and JurisIQ.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in effect.
  • Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of rights.
  • You may not assign rights under these Terms without prior written consent.
  • JurisIQ may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or restructuring.
